Bungay Taekwondo Club decided to raise funds for this year’s fantastic Sport Relief by donating all their lesson fees to the worthy cause and having a bit of fun along the way.

One of the events that caused a big bang was the balloon burst where students competed to see who could pop their balloon in the least amount of strikes whilst it was taped to a kick shield.  The winner was Instructors Assistant Richard Baylis who struck lucky with his very first round house kick and caused a massive pop for charity.

Clinton Gillett the club instructor and assistant Headteacher at Bungay High School where the club trains three times a week said “Taekwondo is world renown for its kicking techniques so this seemed like a really good way to develop accuracy and have a few laughs along the way, some students took 20 kicks to burst the slippery balloons but kept smiling all the way”

The Club raised over £100 from the weeks lessons which will go towards charities in the UK and abroad as part of this year’s headline fundraising event.
