This Competiton is for all ages and belt categories “Pee-wee, Junior, Adult, Veteran”This is a great competition,so come and give it a go.

Competitor entry fee: Coloured Belt and Blackbelts £20

The competition is open to students of all ages and levels of Taekwon-Do, giving each and every student the opportunity to take part in competitive patterns, sparring, special technique and where age appropriate destruction. All students are placed into categories according to their age, height, and belt to give everyone a fair chance to compete to become GTUK British Champion.

Superb British Taekwondo Championship Result

Bungay Taekwondo club who train three times a week at Bungay High School had a hugely successful GTUK British Championships in March, despite concerns over Corona Virus the event went ahead with additional precautions.  The tournament was held in Coventry and 11 competitors from Bungay amassed a fantastic 15 medals.  Taekwondo is also known as Korean Kickboxing and is a superb sport for all ages and abilities, it develops fitness, stamina, suppleness, self confidence as well as self defence capabilities.

Clinton Gillett (5th Degree and Senior Instructor) said “Brilliant determination and dedication by the Bungay students meant a lot of success in the fiercely competitive sparring and pattern divisions, most of the decisions were very tight with our competitors missing out by just one flag!”.

The GTUK Executive board are honoured to invite and welcome you to the 2020 British Championships. We are working hard to ensure that our tournaments are a memorable and enjoyable experience for both competitors and the spectators, bringing together all members of the GTUK, young and old. This year’s lnterclub Tournament, hosted by Mr Steve King VI, brings together GTUK members from Beccles, Bungay, Burton Latimer, Grange Park, Northampton, Raunds, Wellingborough and Wollaston for what’s sure to be a fun day out for everyone.

This is a great introduction to competitions for new and younger students. 

Whether you want to compete or just watch everyone is welcome, why not bring along your mums, dad grandmas, grandpas uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters and friends! Entry Fees:

This a great introduction to competitions for new and younger students. Whether you want to compete or just watch, everyone is welcome, why not bring along your mums, dads, grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters and friends !

It’s going to be a great day… so just come along. The Northampton venue has changed this year (a map has been provided to your instructor). There is an on site café serving hot drinks and food.

It’s a great chance to represent your club and get to know others like you, who are all Taekwon-Do Martial Artists. You may even take home a medal or two!
